HALLOWEEN PAINT - HAUNTED HOUSE PAINTS

After almost a decade of supplying halloween paint to haunted house professionals to paint crazy exciting haunted and special effects rooms we have learned quite a bit. We’ll be happy to pass that on to you so your halloween art project or room is the best it can be. Once we know what type of project or room you are doing, we’ll be able to give you our advise on how to paint or protect the surface properly.

We have several ideas and information to share here:

SEVERAL TYPES OF PAINTS FOR HAUNTED HOUSE ROOMS AND EFFECTS?

1. Fluorescent Acrylics:Our fluorescent acrylics (or neon’s as they are commonly called) are excellent if you are looking for a permanent finish to wood, drywall, Styrofoam, or plastics. They are very bright during the daylight and will glow under UV (ultraviolet) light. You must make sure the light is fluorescent LED or fluorescent Incandescent light as there are some purple or bluish cheap lights out there that won't work at all. In the past, Haunted Houses have used this paint to create special effects rooms where they will splatter the room with neon colors or even our glow in the dark paint, while a person sits or stands in a designated area with a full body suit on (usually black or white) and using the same suite color as the base color of the surrounding walls painted surface.

Then the plaint is splattered all over the room and the person or persons in the room (who are wearing the full body suits) so that they become part of the design. Then let the paint and the suits dry. When your haunted customers come through they will scream in the darkness (while using glow in the dark paint or a UV light to light up the paints). They will mostly see just the splatters looking like part of the room and then suddenly things start to move creating a very eerie and scary effect. These are called haunted house splatter rooms and are becoming very popular. These paints are also good for Haunted Hey Rides, Haunted Corn Mazes or any project or art outdoors. Remember that fluorescent acrylics are not lightfast so they will fade over the years unless coated with a clear UV paint. 2. UV Effects Semi Washable Paints: These can be used indoors when you need to save a couple of bucks as it is cheaper than our acrylics and in addition to the availablity of bullk packages of 5 gallon paiils. This paint will wash off skin, hair, and many surfaces (unless they are light colored or porous). It is alwasy best to do a test pattern with paint before mass usage to check for desired results. However, be careful if they get wet the paint will start to degrade and wash off. Many projects have been done using these high quality fluorescents including some general temporary body designs, clown blood, blood splatters where you need it go glow under UV lights, zombie fests, and haunted neon toxic waste rooms, and scary clown rooms You can see from the picture on your right here it is also good to use on temporary rooms that wont get wet. Feel free to use acrylics for these rooms but if you want to buy bulk paint cheaper, we suggest to use our UV effects paints.

3. Glow in the Dark Paint: Our glow in the dark permanent acrylic paint is perfect for any and all Halloween events especially haunted houses. While the paint does need a charge to glow, a quick blast of UV Blacklight does real wonders. You can use these to make a scary toxic room, paint a star filled outer space room, or even use it as guidelines though your scary maze or completely dark spaces. You can even put it on your monsters costumes so it glows when they walk into the room. Glow in the dark paint just gives that extra eerie effect that amazes everyone so it makes a top notch Halloween must. Our glow in the dark paint isn’t cheap but it is does have the best glow on the market today.

How to make a yellow brick road for Halloween?  There is only one way to say goodbye yellow brick road, first you have to make one.  This is a new common theme by many neighborhood folks who want to throw an awesome Halloween party or event for the kids.  Using our Washable Neon Fluorescent Yellow Paint, you can create one of these great spectacular features to show the kids where to go using our yellow brick road paint.  Even better, the yellow brick road will glow under ultraviolet lights (as long as they are fluorescent ones and not the cheap ones).   Lots of WOW! Factor in this and the only downside is if it rains the paint will wash off so don’t put it on early unless you know it won’t rain.  In addition make sure you  and your neighbors are on board and shut those sprinkler systems off so it doesn’t wash away the paint.   Done right, this is a really cool feature and we get quite a few people who do this each and every year.  One 5-gallon pails should be able to cover about 800-1000 sq feet using a garden sprayer.  You may want to dilute the paint about 10-20% first by mixing it with water.  This will help extend the volume of the paint. HALLOWEEN SPLASH PARTY WITH OUR UV GLOW

Paint party paint has a washable neon that will glow under UV lights.
